Pastime Courses
Classical - Jazz - Folk - Blues - Accompaniment - Electric Lead Guitar
Minimum length of these courses is 10 weeks and consists of 10 individual half hour lessons. These courses are designed for people who wish to get a basic command of the guitar or those who can already play and wish to develop new techniques. The lessons will be given by the same teacher each time in order to maintain a sense of continuity, and the student may suggest the subject matter as long as they are technically capable of handling it.
Certificate Courses
Classical - Electric Guitar
These courses follow a set syllabus by one of the following colleges/academies: Trinity College of Music London, The Associate Board of the Royal Schools of Music, The Royal Irish Academy of Music, The London College of Music, The Victoria College of Music London, The Guildhall School of Music London. Successful candidates receive a graded certificate from one of the above colleges, relative to the grade that they have taken. The duration of these courses vary; the candidates may work at their own pace as circumstances differ from one individual to another.
Junior Certificate/Leaving Certificate
These courses cater for the practical requirements of both examinations in guitar playing and follow the Board of Education directive.
