A native of Dublin, Pat Fagan began playing the guitar at the age of sixteen. At eighteen he began to perform in many of the pubs and clubs around Dublin.

He then began his classical guitar studies at The College of Music Dublin, qualifying with diplomas in performance from London College of Music and a teaching Diploma from Trinity College of Music London. During this period Pat performed on R.T.E. television and radio with the Turina guitar quartet and the College of Music guitar orchestra.

He has taught extensively in various schools throughout the country including the Dublin V.E.C., Bray V.E.C., Galway V.E.C., Kings Hospital Secondary School etc. He is presently co director and teacher at The Dublin School of Guitar.

Pat composed and performed incidental music for the animated film The Rooster, the Crocodile and the Night Sky, which was nominated for an A.S.I.F.A. – Hollywood Annie Award for best short animation by the International Animated Film Society in Los Angeles in 2009.

At present Pat performs with the ‘Carina Guitar Duo’ with teaching colleague Mark Collins. Pat is also a singer songwriter and founder member of ‘The Mysterious Chords’ who have performed in all of the major venues in Dublin including Vicar Street, and have just released their debut album Harrington Street which has been very well received.
